Columnist plagiarized my column – Quo Vadis, Chiz?

Dear Mr. Faustino:

I am writing you to bring to your attention an act of plagiary by your opinion writer, Riza Lacbao. She plagiarized my article, “Quo Vadis, Chiz?” which I authored and published in my online news service, www.GlobalBalita.com on November 3, 2009. The link is http://globalbalita.com/2009/11/03/quo-vadis-chiz/

“Quo Vadis, Chiz?” was also published in more than a dozen Filipino newspapers outside the Philippines. It was also posted in numerous websites including ABSCBN Online.

Ms. Lacbao plagiarized my article and posted it on your Zamboanga Today Online last November 5, 2009. I would presume that my plagiarized article was also published in your newspaper under her byline.

As you know, plagiarism is an illegal act in the publishing industry. I would like to request that you make the necessary action to discipline Ms. Lacbao for plagiarizing “Quo Vadis, Chiz?” I would also like to request that the plagiarized article be deleted from Zamboanga Today Online.

To protect my intellectual property right on “Quo Vadis, Chiz?”, I will post this email on my website and also send a blind copy to all my publishers and media contacts.

I would appreciate your prompt reply to my request.
