Hollywood, CA — Clad in their black shirts with their organization’s logo emblazoned on them, camera-toting “Pinoygraphers” crowded into the world famous Hollywood landmark, the Pig’N Whistle this past July 18, 2009. The evening’s festivities marked the second year of Pinoygraphers.com, a network of talented Filipino photographers. The celebration, featuring fashion and runway shows as well as live performances from L.A.’s rock scene, emphasized and celebrated the successes of this fast growing dynamic organization.

The evening’s events were hosted by VH1’s Abigail “Red Oyster” Kintanar and Mr. Philippines USA 2008, Marc Gueco. The Pinoygraphers, their families, and friends, were treated and lauded by the industry they serve and work within. Staff and supporters of local magazines, LA Pinoy and M7, publications affiliated with Pinoygraphers’ members were in attendance, admonishing their support for the photography network. Starting with the latest fashions by Michael “M” Herrera, recently featured on Mercedez Benz’s fashion week, “M’s” modern line was showcased on the makeshift catwalk amidst flashing lights from the photographer’s cameras. Live musical performances from within the L.A. rock scene bands moved the crowd. Up and coming artist JD Nash and rock scene staples BrokenKord and Pedro Gil rocked the Hollywood landmark. Due to time constraints, the anticipated debut of their own Pinoygrapher’s Rock Band was postponed. Nevertheless, the evening’s was punctuated by a playful display of steamy and sexy lingerie fashions by Lure. As expected, non-stop photographs were taken all evening long. Obviously even during their own event, Pinoygrapher’s are simply passionate about their photography!

Although the celebration was local to southern California members, Pinoygraphers.com, their web-based community, unites photographers globally to pool their talent and share their knowledge amongst its’ members. With specialties ranging from photojournalism, editorial, sports, glamour, fashion, event, paparazzi, and wedding photography, every genre is covered and well-represented. Moreover, graphic designers, videographers, and artists naturally intermingle and readily connect within photographer’s network. Photographers/Founders Joey Borao, Alex Pascual, Red Andal and Dennis Santarinala proudly head up this organization. Their newly updated website can be found at www.pinoygraphers.com.
