2008 Journey Revelation Tour Ends in Laughlin, Nevada

First of all, I want to thank Neal Schon for helping me out and allowing me to shoot the show, all of it, no limits. I don’t think I’ve ever taken that many photos at a concert and I will cherish each and every one of them, they all mean that much to me.

Anyway, back to the show. I don’t think one could have asked for a more perfect finale than what we all who were there last night were a part of. Arnel’s evolution since the first time I saw him at the Planet Hollywood show was no short of incredible.

The vibe between each band member, you couldn’t help but get sucked right into it, I just watched as they laughed amongst them selves and the smiles and the energy they were feeding off of from the audience, or was it that the audience was feeling the same way I was, just … In the moment, happy to be a part of that night, to be with friends, great music and just a killer vibe.

What can you say about Arnel that hasn’t been said already? What I saw last night were 5 brothers on stage jamming, they just let loose and had a blast. I can only hope that with the next album comes the same amount of respect and pride that they had onstage last night, it was a culmination of collective efforts of 5 people and I’m so grateful and humbled that I was able to be a part of it, since my initial interview with Neal back in March, to the Planet Hollywood show, to the Mandalay Bay to Laughlin, what an incredible Journey this has been for me as well. I have never been treated so well by a bands management/ PR, I am just so grateful, I can’t even begin to put it in words..

Towards the end of the show it was basically a free for all, the crowd was just screaming, partying, everybody was on their feet, one guy managed to jump on stage and have his 3 seconds of fame before getting pounced on by security, it was funny … I was having a blast going from one side of the stage and checking out what each band member was doing and trying to capture what they were feeling as well …

I’ve seen the Youtube videos of Arnel landing back in his homeland, he looks so happy, yet exhausted and he still left us with his amazing rendition of “Turn Down the World Tonight”. I think he’s ready to do just that for a while and deservingly so….

De La Montanya Winery and Journey band members would like to thank friends and fans for raising more than $40,000 for a Bay Area children’s charity over the past two years. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of Revelation, 2007 Zinfandel, will also be donated to a Bay Area children’s charity.
