JabbaWockeeZ Shine at Gary V Concert

The JabbaWockeeZ, Winner of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, kicked off the 25th Anniversary Concert of Gary Valenciano last Saturday, June 7, to the delight of the full house audience. They performed a dance medley of their popular choreographies during the MTV contest including the “Superman” JabbaWockeeZ ending, as well as new steps with cool hip-hop beats DJ’d by another JabbaWockeeZ member.

After their performance on stage, the JabbaWockeeZ met with the sponsors and the media group for a few minutes to answer some questions backstage (article coming soon). After that session, Phil Tayag was spotted at the main lobby of Nokia and gamely posed with many fans while Gary V’s concert was ongoing. Some young kids called their friends from inside the concert arena and the crowd at the main lobby grew larger. Cris Gatdula also came out to the lobby and posed with the fans as well, and many said they got their concert tickets’ worth just for those photos.

Kudos to Nokia security for understanding the JabbaWockeeZ fans’ enthusiasm for this photo opportunity and allowing the picture taking at the lobby. The fans whose ages ranged from 4 years old to early 20’s were all well behaved considering, and thus gave no cause for the security personnel to shut the “photo party” down.
