Arnel Pineda, Lead Singer of Journey, Chile Debut
Arnel Pineda debuted as Journey’s new lead singer in Chile last February 21, 2008 to resounding success. Journey also performed at a sold out concert at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino (formerly Aladdin) in Las Vegas last Saturday, March 8, 2008. The Planet Hollywood show will be recorded and released to the public on DVD.

Hi Marinela. Thanks for the comment. As for the Planet Hollywood Journey concert last March 8 at Las Vegas, it was a sold out concert with a lot of filipinos and asians watching. Journey will produce a DVD of this particular concert, no date yet but they have to call back the crowd after the show so Arnel can render some new songs for the DVD. I can’t wait too. Journey with Arnel Pineda played to a sold-out concert at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas last March 8, 2008. They entertained a packed crowd of 9,000, half of which were Filipinos/Asians. I was told that it was the first time it happened for any the rock band concerts they ever attended. No surprise there, it’s the first time any top 50 American band had a Filipino as the lead singer. Outstanding!

Finally, Journey with lead singer Arnel Pineda will be making their debut together on the Ellen show sometime in May 2008. The announcement was made by Ellen Degeneres herself on her show.

Talagang nakakaluka is Arnel, believe na akong talaga after all I have heard and seen esp the concert at Mandalay Bay. Our only problem is I can’t get enough of them – JOURNEY with Arnel. Gusto ko syang makita ng personal at halikan, wala kasi ako sa orchestra, sana napunasan ko sya ng pawis at talaga namang napaka-husay. I think I will go to their concert again with my mother in Irvine or Greek theater. Gusto kung makapagpa authograph man lang sa cd kung binili, I bought 10 of them for my friends and family.
I saw Journey in Seattle last Sept 19th. I was hoping that the video from that city will be available. And where can we get a copy?

Hello Eduardo. We’re glad you enjoyed reading this post. I’m afraid you will have to wait till next year to watch their concert in person. Journey gave their final show for this year just a few days ago, Oct. 5th, at Harrah’s Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheatre in Laughlin, Nevada. We’ll be posting the pictures and review of that show within the next few days, so watch out for that.
Arnel’s back in the Philippines for a well-deserved rest and reunion with his family. Journey’s 2009 tour schedule will posted as soon as available.
When will Journey come to Toronto, Ontario Canada? I am looking forward to that time hopefully soon in 2009. I think the whole world loves the new lead singer. Arnel. This is a great time for Journey to have such a strong come-back. Unbelieveable, we all needed this. As you say, Arnel is the real deal, and I believe it.

Journey with Arnel Pineda is quite addictive. Their music together is just magnificent. I heard Arnel saying that they will be having a tour again this year 2009 in the US of A. Is Canada included and if so, would they do it in Toronto. I hope so. Is there anyway you would know?
