In light of the ongoing fire that struck seven counties in Southern California, the Philippine Consulate General has opened an emergency line for Filipino nationals who are affected and need assistance. Please call (213) 268-9990.
A consular team headed by Vice Consul Tito San Agustin will be going to San Diego tomorrow to visit the evacuation sites there and assist the Filipino nationals affected by the disastrous fires. They will also meet with some officials to coordinate evacuation.
Filipino organizations are encouraged to contribute in any way they can to help alleviate those afflicted by the ongoing ordeal. Vice Consul Edward Yulo is the coordinator of the Disaster Relief Response.
