WordPress Tutorial - How to Post a Blog

1. Go to Login Page URL.

2. Enter your username and password and click on login button. You will enter the Wordpress Dashboard area.

3. Click on Write tab which will open to default “Write Post” page.

4. Enter the Title of your post. Your must always write in the title of the post.

5. Enter the Content of your blog. Please do not copy and paste from a formatted MSWord, MSPublisher, etc. The formatting there does not mesh well with the formatting on this Wordpress blog. Instead, save your MSWord or MSPublisher documents to plain text files and copy and paste from the latter. e.g. In MSWord, go to File > Save As > and choose plain text file on drop down of box.

6. You can format your text in the content box. You may use the BOLD and ITALICS formatting. Please do not use UNDERLINE formatting as visitors might might mistake that for a link.

7. On the right hand column of the same post page, please click on the Categories which are appropriate for your post. e.g. An article re a new camera categories = Photography, Technology

8. Below the Post content section, add Tags appropriate for your post (max. 10). Please note that the Categories you already checked on #7 above are already included as tags. e.g. again for the article re new camera, you might add ff tags: Nikon, lens, aperture, flash, etc. - keywords mentioned in your post content.

9. After you’ve finished checking and formatting your document, you can click on the PUBLISH button below the content input area.

8. You can view your posted content in the regular blog page.
