WordPress Tutorial - Add Pictures in Your Post

You can easily add a picture (jpg, png or gif. Max. width = 500px) in your post. This instruction is for the easy way to add the graphics. More complicated way will be posted later.

1. Go to Login URL. Enter your Username and Password. You will be brought to the Dashboard.

2.a. If you are posting a new blog, then click on the Write tab and you will be brought to the default Write Post area.

2.b. If you have already published your blog and want to add a picture to the post, then click on the Manage tab and you will be brought to the default Manage Post area. Click the Edit link of the post you want to add the picture/s to.

3. To position your picture, click on the space in the content area where you want to place the photo.

4. Scroll down to below the boxes where you post the contents and tags of your blog. You will find the box where you can browse and upload the picture file from your computer. Optional - add title and description of your photo.

Please note that the maximum width for photo in the blog is 500px. If your photo is larger than this, you may still upload it and later resize it in the content area.

5. After you’ve selected your photo, click on the Upload button.

6. There are options for the photos which will appear in the upload picture file. These are the option to create a thumbnail or option to keep the size of the picture, among others. You can further edit the size of the picture by adjusting the picture in the post content area. Click on the upper right side corner of the picture and pull diagonally up or diagonally down.

7. When you are done with the upload and/or resizing click on the Publish button (if publishing for the first time) or click on the Save button (if you have already published the content and are now just adding the picture).
